EMPI Oil Cooler Kits

EMPI Competition Oil Cooler Kit. Stacked, plated coolers offer maximum cooling and high strength. Better than tube type coolers. Made from aircraft quality aluminium and supplied with an oil filter head and all fittings including oil hose. If fitting to standard bodied vehicles, you MUST retain the original oil cooler and use this one as an additional one fed by a full flow oil system. Specify plate size when ordering.

Adjustable Thermostatic Switch

Adjustable thermostatic switch for use with the above oil cooler electric fan. Features a 30amp relay, manual override and colour coded wiring. Probe slips between the cooler fins. Adjusts between 150F and 224F.

Oil Return Adapter

Oil return adapter allows for the fitting of a full flow oil system without crankcase machining. The adapter screws into the oil pressure regulator valve hole and provide the return route for oil from a full flow pump cover. The engine can remain in place whilst fitting it too!

Oil Thermostat

Oil thermostat position in line between the engine and full flow accessories, this unit protects oil coolers and filters from excess pressure when the oil is cold. Supplied with 4 hose barbs for 0.5" hose fittings and 4 hose clips. Opens up at around 175F

Filter Head Mounting Brackets

Filter head mounting brackets: Beetle version (upper photo) bolts to rear bumper mount on either early or late cars to provide a handy point for the filter head. Pressed steel construction with captive nuts - includes 3 bolts and washers. OR race engine version (lower photo): bolts to exhaust studs on the left side head - will fit inside or outside the exhaust.
