Rhino Gearbox Case

A brand new Rhino branded Type 1 gearbox casing with extra webbing and gussets for superior strength. This is suitable for all Beetles. If you want to build a performance gearbox, this is the place to start - a case that will withstand the pressures you are going to put on it!

Rhino Gearbox Mounts

Rhino gearbox mounts are twice the strength or standard rubber mounts. The mounting bolts are welded to a steel support which is then moulded around the mount. The outer shell of the front nose mount is made from cast ZA 1 Metal. Available for front mount (which fits Bug 61-72, Split vans and Type 3 upto '67) or a pair of rear mounts.

Padded Gearbox Straps

Made to brace and secure gearboxes on high-performance vehicles. Fitted with rubber padding to reduce noise and vibration. Available for front support or rear support (this replaces the original rear mounting cradle and can only be used with pre '72 style rear mounts). Specify which strap when ordering.

Intermediate Mount

Budget, simple version of the sometimes over-complicated ones available on the market. This extra mount simply bolts onto the gearbox casing and presses gainst the underside of the framehorns via two urethane bushes. No welding required but alteration of the gearbox bolts is needed.

CSP Torque Bar Kit

Used by many drag racers, the 3 adjustable bars stabilise the gearbox and framehorns. Welding is required to fit, bute all required hardware is supplied.

Bugpack Torque Bar Kit

Less complicated version of the above CSP kit. Performs the same basic function by stabilising the gearbox, but is not as substantial as the CSP kit. However, no welding is required as this is a bolt-on kit.

Chrome Traction Bar

Chromed traction bar hangs from the rear gearbox mounts. It works by reducing rear wheel hop during hard launches by supporting the crankcase below the oil pump. Used by many drag-racers and hot-street cars. For Beetles only!
